Camp Cooking

At camp, TLC went to camp cooking. We made damper on a wet bamboo stick. We had to cook it over fire for a long time. When we finished we ate it. It tasted nice because it had raisins.

  1. You did such a great job cooking your damper too Charlie. You listened carefully to Whae Raewyn and your damper turned out just perfect. It was golden on the outside and soft and fluffy in the middle. Your beautiful damper made me want to cook my own - and I did! (it wasn't as good as yours though) :-)

    Hi Charlie, I have only made damper once before and it was burnt on the outside and raw in the middle. Using a stick sounds a great idea and putting raisins in too.. Maybe you can give me a lesson on making damper so i can eat the next lot I make.

    Glad that you enjoyed making damper.I have never made damper with rasins. When I made it,we used jam instead. Did you like the smokey taste.
