Running Math
Students in Room 22 run daily as part of an exercise training program. On Monday they ran 3.6 km, on Tuesday 1.2 km, on Wednesday 2.4 km, on Thursday 3.6 km and on Friday 1.17km. How many kilometers did they run this week? If they kept up this training schedule, how many months before they would have ran a total distance of 500 km?

Jessica and Serena and Porscha thinks the answer is 11.97
ReplyDeleteBecause we added 3.6 , 1.2 , 2.4 , 3.6 , 1.17 which all added up to 11.97
Mya, sapphire, Sarona and i thinks the answer is 11.97
ReplyDeleteBecause we added 3.6, 1.2, 2.4, 3.6, 1.17 . so that all adds up to 11.97

ReplyDeleteQuestion number one. First we added up all of the ones which is 10 and then started added up the tenths which is 19.Then added the 1 left over which makes 11.97.
Question Number two First we figured out how many weeks there are which four. Then we added 11.97 x 2 = 23.94 then we doubled it again and came up with the answer 47.88.
That is our final answer.
We mean that our answer for Question number two is 4 weeks.
DeleteMya, sapphire, Sarona and i think it is 11.97
ReplyDeletebecause we added all the numbers altogether. so the answer is 11.97
Me and Niuma think the anwser is 11.97 be cause we add all the numbers together.
ReplyDeleteSam, Lave, Xavier and I think that if you go 3.6+1.2 equals 4.8. Then 4.8+2.4 equals 7.2. After that we went 7.2+3.6 equals 10.8. Last but not least 10.8+1.17 equals 11.97. The first answer is 11.97 and the month answer is 10 months and 1 week
ReplyDeleteTaeshell and I think the answer is 11.97 because we did 3.6km + 1.2km + 2.4km + 3.6km + 1.17km. So we added it all together and we got 11.97. We think that it's 11.97 but not sure...
ReplyDeleteNd Cheyanne too...
