Rocky and Jacob Connect Fractions and Decimals

For the last few weeks we have been working with decimals and fractions first. Jacob is now going to explain how decimals and fractions work. Fractions and Decimals are quite similar. Here is an example, say what is 0.7 equivalent to a fraction? It is 7/10ths we have one more example, 1/4 of 1 is 0.25 stay tuned for more strategies.

We are off and running with another great year underway. Our school-wide theme for the year is Tiaki Taonga which encompasses all aspects of caring. We are working to develop our understanding of EMPATHY and have made a video to help explain what we think it might look like.
